] is a joy, as is ], and ] is a great engine to dig for your Chalice, and get more power on the savant/life from the Camel.
] is a goddamn house in that deck, and it's hilarious watching some people realize how highly they should target it for removal while others don't, but once your card advantage gets rolling, it's just brutal. She's not Optimal, and I can see why people play ] in the "Real" version of this deck, but the Savant gets shit done often enough. I absolutely love ] in this deck, and I also use ] as a wincon, to respectable results. The gameplan in any of these versions is simple- build up a board that forces a long boardstall that lets you make the most of the Chalice Card Advantage Engine, then push through/over the boardstall with Fliers for the win. Of course, since the Bloodcaster and Harsh Rule are rares, the Elysian version is probably the cheapest to craft.
Oh, and I guess ] if you feel the need for hate cards. I honestly prefer ] to Harsh Rule in this deck just 'cause building up your own board is important, but I'm also bad at this game, so YMMV, and Shadow offers ], ], and a whole lot of good spot removal. The breakdown, in my eyes, is that Justice offers ], ], ], and ]. I've tried pure Elysian, Elysian+Justice, and Elysian+Shadow versions. It's not gonna get you to Masters unless you're real good at it, but the deck is certainly fun if you like control like I do. I've made Chalice Control brews where ] is the only rare in the entire deck. Side note- Is the Cardfetcher bot back? I saw it recently, and I'm confused. Hopefully that's enough jank to tide you over for set 2.
